What Is a Transmitter PIN and Why Do I Need It?
Each BUZUD CGM transmitter comes with a unique Transmitter PIN, which is required to securely pair the transmitter with the BUZUD app and ensure proper data transmission from the sensor to your device.
Why Do I Need to Enter the Transmitter PIN?
The Transmitter PIN is used during the initial setup to authenticate and link the transmitter with your BUZUD app. This helps ensure that your glucose data is sent securely and accurately from the transmitter to your phone.
The PIN is usually printed on the transmitter packaging or product label and may also be included in the user manual.
Usage Based on CGM Generation
- BUZUD CGM 1st Generation: Users must manually enter the Transmitter PIN into the BUZUD app when first pairing the transmitter. If the wrong PIN is entered, the transmitter may not connect properly.
- BUZUD CGM 2nd Generation: The BUZUD app can automatically detect and link the transmitter, so users typically do not need to enter the PIN manually. This streamlines the setup process.
Important Notes
- Always use the Transmitter PIN that comes with your specific transmitter. Do not use a PIN from another transmitter or attempt to guess
- Using an incorrect PIN may prevent the system from pairing or result in unreliable data transmission
- Each Transmitter PIN is unique and is valid only for the transmitter it was assigned to
