To help your BUZUD CGM sensor stay securely on your body for the entire sensor session, follow the insertion instructions carefully and pay attention to site preparation and patch care.

Site Preparation

  • Site Selection: Choose a site that is flat, clean, and completely dry before sensor insertion. The site should have a layer of subcutaneous fat beneath the skin.
  • Avoid Skin Folds: Do not place the sensor where your skin folds when bending or near waistbands that may rub against the patch.
  • Minimize Hair: Apply the sensor to areas without hair. If needed, shave the site using electric clippers to avoid irritation.
  • Remove Old Adhesive: Clear any residue from previous sensors before applying a new one. You may use body oil or skin-safe adhesive remover for easier cleaning.

Patch Care

  • First 12 Hours: Keep the patch dry and sweat-free for the first 12 hours after application. This helps improve long-term adhesion.
  • If It Gets Wet: Gently pat the patch dry as soon as possible.
  • If It Peels: If the patch begins to peel, trim the lifted edges and reinforce with an over patch or medical tape.

For best results, consider using official BUZUD over patches designed for added adhesion and protection.
