To ensure that your BUZUD CGM app works properly and you continue receiving glucose readings and alerts, we recommend reviewing and adjusting the following Android settings.

Note: Setting names and locations may vary depending on your device model and Android version.

Features You Should Avoid (May Disrupt App Functionality)

1. App Pause

On Android 10 and above, App Pause can temporarily disable apps. If App Pause is enabled for the BUZUD app, you will not receive glucose readings or alerts.

How to disable App Pause:

  • Long press the BUZUD app icon (on the home screen or in the app drawer)
  • Tap the pause icon or select "Edit Pause Settings" to disable it

2. Focus Mode

Focus Mode restricts app usage. If BUZUD is added to the list of distracting apps, it may not be able to deliver alerts or sensor data.

How to turn off Focus Mode:

  • Open your phone Settings
  • Go to Digital Wellbeing & Parental Controls
  • Disable Focus Mode or ensure BUZUD is not listed under distracting apps

3. Battery Saver Mode

Battery Saver may restrict background data usage and delay alerts from BUZUD CGM.

How to turn off Battery Saver Mode:

  • Open Settings
  • Tap Battery
  • Turn off Battery Saver or choose the highest performance mode available

4. Do Not Disturb

Do Not Disturb silences all alerts, including those from BUZUD CGM. For safety, avoid using this mode when the CGM is active.

How to turn off Do Not Disturb:

  • Open Settings
  • Find Do Not Disturb or Total Silence and turn it off

Required Permissions (Must Be Enabled for Proper App Functionality)

1. Notifications

Notifications must be enabled for you to receive alerts and glucose updates from the BUZUD app.

How to enable Notifications:

  • Open Settings
  • Go to Apps > BUZUD
  • Tap Notifications and make sure they are turned on

2. Battery Optimization

Battery optimization may prevent the BUZUD app from running in the background. This could lead to delayed or missed alerts. It's recommended to turn off battery optimization for BUZUD.

How to disable Battery Optimization:

  • Open Settings
  • Search for Battery Optimization (may vary by device)
  • Find BUZUD in the list and set it to Don't Optimize

3. Background Restrictions

When enabled, Background Restrictions prevent BUZUD from running unless the app is open on your screen. This will block sensor data and alerts in the background.

How to disable Background Restrictions:

  • Open Settings
  • Search for Background Restrictions
  • Find BUZUD and disable any restrictions

4. Location Permission

Android requires location access for Bluetooth to function properly. BUZUD does not track your location, but this permission must be granted.

How to allow Location Access:

  • Open Settings
  • Ensure Location Services are turned on
  • Go to Apps > BUZUD > Location Permission
  • Select Allow All the Time

5. Bluetooth

BUZUD CGM uses Bluetooth to communicate with the sensor. Keep Bluetooth turned on at all times.

How to enable Bluetooth:

  • Open Settings
  • Go to Bluetooth and make sure it is turned on

If you continue to experience delayed alerts, data interruptions, or connection issues, please review the above settings. For further support, contact BUZUD Customer Service.
